First Avenue to close for one week for BNSF railroad bridge repairs

First Avenue will be closed to traffic from Ogden Avenue to just south of the Forest Avenue/Ridgewood Road intersection beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 15 and continuing until 5 p.m. on Monday, September 22.

First Avenue in Riverside set for one-week closure due to railroad repairs

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has approved a road closure on First Avenue (IL Route 171) for the week of September 15 to September 22, following a request from Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad.
