The Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRFHS) Counseling Division will host a college planning presentation for families of juniors in the Class of 2027. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
According to the organizers, "This presentation will help you establish a college planning timetable and to-do list, identify and debunk myths about admission requirements, determine the right college fit for your student, understand the basics of financial aid, and assist you with navigating Schoolinks, our college and career planning platform."
Before the main session, parents are invited to attend a Parent University Pop-Up titled "Communicating with Adolescents and Teens…without Money, Magic, or Eye-Rolls" from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
All parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Light snacks will be available, and there is no need for pre-registration.
Oak Park and River Forest High School serves students in grades 9 through 12 with an enrollment of 3,393 during the 2019-2020 school year. The school is located in Oak Park within Cook County.
