Parkway Tree Replacement Program opens for fall
The Parkway Tree Replacement Program is now open for the fall season, allowing residents to replace or add a parkway tree while sharing the cost with the Village. Through this program, property owners will cover approximately 25% of the cost ($80.00), while the Village will handle the remaining 75% ($270.00). This fee includes the cost of the tree, shipping, and planting.

Village issues final notices for overdue water meter replacements
The Village's water meter replacement program is nearing completion. Nearly all water meters older than seven years have been replaced. Despite multiple attempts to reach certain customers, some water meters still urgently require replacement. A final notice was sent to those addresses this week. The Village plans to contact these remaining water customers by phone to request that they schedule an appointment with Water Resources, Inc.

Burlington Avenue closed for construction on Thursday afternoon
The contractor will fully close the 800 block of Burlington Avenue, from Wolf to Lawn, to all traffic at approximately 2 pm on Thursday, September 19. The closure is necessary for the construction of a new fire hydrant and watermain crossing the roadway. The closure is expected to last up to four hours, with the road reopening as a one-way street going west once the work is complete. The pedestrian walkway will remain accessible.
