The second phase of improvements on Burlington Avenue is scheduled to commence on Monday, May 19. This phase involves resurfacing the pavement between Central Avenue and Wolf Road. Detailed information about the construction can be accessed on the project website at www.wsprings.com/burlington2025 or through the link: Burlington Construction Notice - April 2025.

The work will include removing and replacing selected curbs, sidewalks, and driveway aprons along the south side of Burlington Avenue from Central Avenue to Wolf Road. Construction barricades will be set up early Monday morning to restrict parking in designated areas. The sidewalk will be closed for reconstruction to meet updated ADA standards at specific corners, including the south corners of Woodland Avenue and the southwest corner of Grand Avenue.

Lane restrictions will be implemented during construction to accommodate equipment and maintain business access. Long-term roadway closures are not expected for this project phase. However, some concrete repair work may lead to short-term closures of adjacent parking spots. Pedestrian access to all storefronts will remain available throughout the construction period. The resurfacing work is less disruptive than last fall's water main work. The Village project team aims to minimize any temporary loss of parking spots.

Residents are encouraged to continue supporting local businesses during this final phase of the Burlington Avenue Improvement Project.
