The Village of Riverside has announced that the Metra Commuter Lot 8 Green Parking Lot Project will commence on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. The project involves removing the existing asphalt pavement and replacing it with permeable subbase granular material and permeable pavers. Additionally, staircases, segments of curb and gutters, and sidewalks will be replaced. A bio-retention facility will also be installed adjacent to the parking lot.
