Q3 2021 Recap: 4 parolees from Kane County convicted of crimes involving alcohol set for release

There were four offenders convicted of crimes involving alcohol living in Kane County released on parole during the third quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the West Cook News.

The data shows two men and two women were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes involving alcohol was 46. The youngest parolee was a 37-year-old woman sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 55-year-old woman sentenced in 2020.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Isabelle Garrity. She was convicted in 2019 when she was 34 years old. She is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of crimes involving alcohol were paroled during the third quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
