No Mow May Initiative Suspends Grass Height Regulations to Support Bee Populations
At the March 21, 2024 Village Board Meeting, the Landscape Advisory Commission (LAC) proposed to suspend enforcement of Title 7, Chapter 7 of the Village Ordinance which limits the height of grass to eight inches as part of the No Mow May initiative. The Board agreed to suspend enforcement effective immediately (March 21, 2024) through May 12, 2024.The No Mow May initiative in Riverside has a history of promoting environmental conservation.
