The Village of Riverside has announced the temporary closure of railroad crossings at Longcommon Road and Delaplaine Road due to track maintenance work. The work will be carried out by RoadSafe, a subcontractor for BNSF Railway.
The closures are scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 28, at 8:00 PM and will conclude on Sunday, June 29, at 8:00 AM. During this period, both crossings will be inaccessible to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Residents are advised to plan ahead by using alternate routes and allowing extra travel time. The maintenance is essential for ensuring the safety and functionality of the rail infrastructure.
"We understand this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation," stated the Village of Riverside in their announcement.
