Analysis: Berwyn pays $4.81 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Stickney Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.8 percent of the $754,171 the Stickney Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.81 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Berwyn contributed $624,450 to the fund, which saw a $63,610 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $129,722, or 17.2 percent, in 2016.
