The Office of Equity and Student Success at Oak Park and River Forest High School will host the "PLACES & FACES: People You Should Know to Help our Community Grow" event on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the South Cafeteria.

Attendees are invited to meet teachers, administrators, support staff, and student leaders of color. The program also includes information about activities and resources for students, as well as a student-led tour highlighting recent facility updates. Appetizers and desserts will be served during the event.

Oak Park and River Forest High School serves grades 9 through 12 in Oak Park and Cook County. In the 2019-2020 school year, enrollment was reported at 3,393 students according to the Illinois Report Card (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). Of these students, grade 10 had the highest concentration with 26.2 percent of all students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/), while grades 9, 11, and 12 each accounted for approximately one-quarter of the student body (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). The demographic breakdown for that year showed that the school was composed of 56.9 percent white students, 18.2 percent black students, 12.6 percent Hispanic students, and 3.8 percent Asian students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
