The Village of Brookfield has announced that the 3700 block of Grand Boulevard will be closed from July 28 to July 30 for streetscape improvements. The contractor plans to install the final layer of asphalt and pavement markings during this period.
Barricades and detour signage will be set up on Monday, July 28, to close the block entirely. Traffic and parking will not be allowed until Wednesday, July 30, when the striping is completed. At that time, access for northbound and southbound traffic will resume, along with parking spaces on both sides of the street. Sidewalks and business entrances will remain accessible throughout the project.
Detours will redirect traffic to Prairie Avenue starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 27, weather permitting. Parking in the affected area will also be unavailable until work concludes on July 30.
For employee parking during this time, areas on Brookfield Avenue and Burlington Avenue are available. Questions regarding employee parking can be directed to Deanne Adasiak at dadasiak@brookfieldil.gov.
