The Village of Riverside and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) have launched a new initiative inviting public input on the region's transportation system. The community is encouraged to participate in a questionnaire designed to gather insights on current transportation methods and potential improvements.
As CMAP spearheads the development of the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), which will guide northeastern Illinois' infrastructure planning for the next 30 years, this feedback is considered crucial. "Your feedback will shape how we improve transportation, reduce congestion, and build a more sustainable future for our region," states CMAP.
The questionnaire is open throughout 2025, allowing ample time for residents to contribute their thoughts. Whether individuals are regular commuters, cyclists, or interested in community development, participation is welcomed. "Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference!" emphasizes the invitation from CMAP.
For further inquiries regarding the RTP or questionnaire, or to arrange a presentation by CMAP at local events, contact can be made via email at rtp@cmap.illinois.gov.
