Riverside prepares for sesquicentennial celebration in January

The Village of Riverside is set to commemorate its 150th anniversary with a special opening ceremony on January 15, 2025. The event will feature the illumination of the Historic Water Tower adorned with a unique 150th Anniversary logo. Attendees can enjoy live music performed by members of the Riverside-Brookfield High School marching band, along with luminaria displays and hot chocolate.

Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at the Riverside Public Library. This gathering will include Sesquicentennial-themed poetry readings and light refreshments.

The celebration will take place at the Historic Water Tower and Centennial Park from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the reception starting at 6:00 p.m. Guests are advised to dress warmly for the outdoor event.
