City of Northlake City Council met Nov. 4

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: ALDERMAN STRAUBE

ALDERMAN FELDMANN

ALDERMAN CONTRERAS

ALDERMAN SOSA

ALDERMAN JOHNSON

ALDERMAN GROCHOWSKI

ALDERMAN PATTI

ABSENT: ALDERMAN URBINA

OTHERS PRESENT: KEN BERES, CHIEF OF POLICE

TONY FACIANO, PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDET

CAROL LAMPARD, FINANCE DIRECTOR

MARK STERK, CITY ATTORNEY

Alderman Straube made a motion to approve Alderman Contreras participating in the meeting via conference bridge; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on October 21 2024. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on October 21, 2024; seconded by Alderman Sosa. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. Alderman Grochowski abstained. All were in favor.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 21, 2024 CARRIED

Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: ALDERMEN STRAUBE, FELDMANN, CONTRERAS, SOSA, JOHNSON, GROCHOWSKI AND PATTI

ABSENT: ALDERMAN URBINA

NAYS: NONE

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED

Mayor Sherwin stated that Winterfest is on December 6th and we will utilize the bonfire and fireworks from Boofest that were not used because of inclement weather; that the 75th anniversary video has already had 5200 views on Facebook; he reminded everyone that the budget meeting is on November 20th at 6:00 pm.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-11-2024; A Resolution Approving an Expenditure of Matching Funds for Traffic Signal Improvements at Wolf Road and Wiltse Drive, Section No. 23-00102-00-TL; Project No. KBZK (227); Job No. C-91-146-24 Cook County, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL: ALDERMEN STRAUBE, FELDMANN, CONTRERAS, SOSA, JOHNSON, GROCHOWSKI AND PATTI

ABSENT: ALDERMAN URBINA

NAYS: NONE

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
