Early voting for the 2024 Presidential Election will commence at Village Hall on October 21. Voting hours are set from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays, specifically on October 27 and November 3.
Voters are instructed to enter Village Hall via the courtyard entrance located on Madison Street. Those parking in the main lot will be directed to walk around the building's exterior to access this entrance.
For individuals who missed the registration deadline, voter registration will be available during early voting hours at Village Hall. A valid identification is required for registration, and voters must cast their vote immediately after registering. Preferred identification includes a driver’s license or picture ID along with an additional document such as a lease or utility bill that shows the current address. Oak Park Township offers curb-to-curb bus service for residents of Oak Park and River Forest aged 60 or older, as well as those with disabilities of any age. This service operates on a first come, first served basis from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., allowing rides to be scheduled up to one week in advance by calling Oak Park Township at 708-383-4806. Same-day reservations may be accepted depending on availability, with a suggested donation of $1 per ride.
The Village Clerk's Office is seeking volunteers for two-hour shifts to assist with early voting activities at Village Hall (123 Madison St.). Volunteers will help direct pedestrian traffic and answer questions related to early voting procedures. Four volunteers are needed across four shifts from Monday through Saturday, and four volunteers are needed across three shifts on Sundays.
It is important to note that Village Hall will not serve as a polling place on Election Day, November 5. Information regarding Election Day polling sites by address can be found at www.cookcountyclerk.com/elections.
