APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
It was moved by Commissioner Byrnes and seconded by Commissioner Voogd that the minutes from the September 23, 2019, Regular Meeting of the Village Council be approved without reading as each member has received a copy thereof.

It was moved by Commissioner Novak and seconded by Commissioner Voogd that the Resolution for the payment of bills be adopted. The Commissioner of Accounts and Finance has reviewed the bills as applicable to each department and found the aggregate amounts to be correct and recommends payment when funds are available. The bills totaled $1,365,746.35.

COMMISSIONER’S REPORTS:
Commissioner Byrnes stated that there are a lot of events coming up in the near future. The Cindy Lyons Health Fair is on October 23rd from 11-1:00 at the Community Center, the Casket Races are on October 26th and Trick-or-Treating is on October 31st.
Mayor Hoskins reported that the village held their first-ever Hispanic Heritage event on October 5th. The Mayor thanked staff for all their hard work and noted that all funding was provided through private sources through the business community. The event was a success, attended by many residents and commissioners. The Mayor added that now, more than ever, Forest Park is becoming a diverse village and these types of events promote a sense of civic pride in the community. Last, the village recently received some attention from the media related to rodents. Mayor Hoskins urged all residents to clean up their property and especially to clean up after pets. This will help will help to prevent problems with rodents and between neighbors as well.
