State House race: Democrat Hurley wins voter tally in Cook County

Frances Ann Hurley led Republican Herbert Hebein in votes cast in Cook County for the District 35 state House race, according to the latest vote count.

Hurley appeared to outpace Hebein by a margin of 14 percent on Tuesday in the county.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Frances Ann Hurley, won by a margin of 32.2 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Victor C. Horne, who received 12,927 votes to Hurley's 25,205.
