State Senate race: Democrat Glowiak wins voter tally in Cook County

Suzanne Glowiak led Republican Chris Nybo in votes cast in Cook County for the District 24 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Glowiak appeared to outpace Nybo by a margin of 1.7 percent on Tuesday in the county.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Chris Nybo, won by a margin of 10.4 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Suzanne Glowiak, who received 1,294 votes to Nybo's 1,596.
