The calls in Western Springs included 19 fires - 12 structure fires, one vehicle fire and six other fires.
In all, the department saw $51,800 in fire loss - or about $2,726 per fire.
The department also received 215 false calls, including four malicious calls and 211 other false calls.
The Western Springs Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has active employee and two retired or inactive employees, was $19,716 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $1,038 for every fire in 2016.
