The calls in Cicero included 241 fires - 95 structure fires, 49 vehicle fires and 94 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $1,941,675 in fire loss - or about $8,057 per fire.
The department also received 555 false calls, including 37 malicious calls and 518 other false calls.
Five fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.
The Cicero Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 78 active employees and 94 retired or inactive employees, was $5,369,309 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $22,279 for every fire in 2016.
