The Village of Brookfield has announced the return of Music on Grand to downtown Brookfield later this month, following a period of streetscape construction on the 3700 block of Grand Boulevard. The event is set for the weekend of August 29-31, during which the south half of the 3700 block will be closed to traffic to allow expanded outdoor restaurant and bar service.
Live music will resume on Saturday, August 30, from 4 to 10 p.m., with American English, a Beatles tribute band from the Chicago area, as the headliner. The event will continue with a second weekend scheduled for September 26-28. On September 27, Radio Gaga—a tribute act combining Lady Gaga and Freddie Mercury—will headline.
"It's been a busy construction season on the 3700 block of Grand Boulevard in downtown Brookfield, but with the streetscape construction wrapping up soon we're going to celebrate with the return of Music on Grand later this month," organizers stated.
Music on Grand has previously attracted residents and visitors by closing part of Grand Boulevard for outdoor dining and live performances. The upcoming events are expected to follow this format again.
