The Village of Riverside Public Works Department is set to oversee a sidewalk saw cutting project aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety by addressing trip hazards caused by uneven concrete surfaces. The grinding work is scheduled to commence on May 12 and continue through May 26, contingent on weather conditions.

The project will target sidewalks in specific areas as outlined on an attached map. Residents are advised to consult the map for detailed information regarding affected streets and sections.

During the project, temporary sidewalk closures will occur while active cutting takes place. Additionally, residents should anticipate equipment noise during daytime hours and possible temporary impacts on driveway access.

The Riverside Public Works Department expressed gratitude for the community's patience and cooperation during this initiative to improve walkability and safety. For further inquiries or additional information, individuals can contact the Riverside Public Works Department at 708-442-3590.
