Some residents were unexpectedly disturbed by Rave Alert messages received at 2 am instead of the intended 2 pm on Saturday. The notifications concerned the final leaf pickup schedule. The Village has issued an apology for any distress caused by these mistimed alerts.
The Rave Alert system, which serves both emergency and nonemergency purposes, is not designed to send notifications in the middle of the night unless a serious emergency arises.
"The Village sincerely apologizes for any alarm that these mistimed messages may have caused," stated officials, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring such errors do not recur.
