Hollywood Motors seeks community help for Hurricane Helene relief efforts

Jeff and Cindy Wahl, owners of Hollywood Motors in Brookfield, are organizing a relief drive to support victims of Hurricane Helene in Tennessee. The couple is seeking donations from local residents and nearby communities to aid those affected by the severe flooding.

Jeff Wahl, affiliated with the American Legion Post in New Lenox, plans to transport the collected items to American Legion Post 49 in Elizabethton, Tennessee. This area has experienced significant flooding. The delivery is scheduled for Thursday, October 10.

Donations will be accepted at Hollywood Motors until 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. The Wahls are requesting specific items such as paper goods like toilet paper and paper towels, medications including ibuprofen and allergy remedies, canned goods with pull tab tops packed in boxes, clothing sorted by gender, non-perishable baby and pet food, socks and underwear in original packaging, blankets, pillows, bed sheets, batteries, and flashlights.
