Victor Janusz, the Forestry Foreman for Brookfield Village, has been honored with a Gold Leaf Award by the International Society of Arboriculture. This recognition comes in light of his 27 years of commitment to maintaining Brookfield's status as a Tree City USA community.

April Toney, Executive Director of the Illinois Arborist Association, highlighted Janusz's contributions, stating, “Your passion for educating the public about the vital role of trees in an urban environment has profoundly inspired future generations within the community.”

Janusz received this accolade during an awards ceremony held at the Illinois Arborist Association Annual Conference & Trade Show at the Tinley Park Convention Center on November 19.

The Harry J. Baker Gold Leaf Award is presented annually by the International Society of Arboriculture to acknowledge individuals for either outstanding Arbor Day activities or exceptional landscaping beautification efforts.
