Brookfield Village Hall, located at 8820 Brookfield Ave., will serve as an early voting site for the U.S. Presidential General Election. Early voting begins on Monday, Oct. 21 and continues daily through Monday, Nov. 4. The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday during this period.
The Cook County Clerk will manage the Brookfield early voting location, where residents of suburban Cook County can cast their ballots using touchscreen machines.
"You do not need to provide a reason or explanation for why you cannot vote on Election Day, Nov. 5," states the press release. A government-issued ID is not required to vote but can be useful if there are questions about voter registration, address, or signature.
Voters who are not registered may also register at the Brookfield early voting site before casting their ballot. To register, two forms of identification are needed, one of which must show the current address.
