The Brookfield Farmers Market, voted the No. 1 farmers market in Illinois in 2023 during a contest sponsored by the American Farmland Trust, opens for the season on Saturday, June 1.

Organized by the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, the market will operate each Saturday through October 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the west and south parking lots of the Brookfield Village Hall, located at 8820 Brookfield Ave.

The pet-friendly market hosts more than 40 vendors each week offering fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, baked goods, prepared foods, coffee, cheese, flowers, plants and a wide array of handcrafted items including candles, jewelry, clothing and household items.

During this season's inaugural week, visitors will have the chance to meet players from the Chicago Hounds professional rugby team. The players will be giving away tickets to their next home game at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.

Each market also features family events, live music and ample nearby free parking. For more information visit the Brookfield Farmers Market website.
