In a recent Facebook post, State Senator Seth Lewis expressed his strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of senior citizens. He announced that he will be co-hosting two Senior Fairs this month, one of which will take place on September 13 in Wheaton, and the other on September 7 at the Roselle Park District. The fairs aim to provide seniors with valuable resources and information to improve their overall health.
The Senior Expo 2023, which will be held on September 7, will feature Rep. Jennifer Sanalitro as a co-host. The event will take place at the Clauss Rec Center in the Roselle Park District, providing seniors with the opportunity to learn about various topics such as utility savings, financial planning, and I-cash. Additionally, participants will have access to health screenings including cholesterol and blood pressure tests, flu shots, and the safe disposal of prescription pills.
Sen. Lewis expressed his enthusiasm about co-hosting the event, stating that it is an excellent opportunity for seniors to take advantage of the healthcare screenings and services available. He encourages all seniors to attend the free expo and make use of the resources provided.
On September 13, Lewis will be co-hosting another senior health fair at the Wheaton Community Center. The event will feature over 40 vendors offering health screenings and information on programs and services available to senior citizens. Some of the participating organizations include the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, ComEd, Visiting Angels, and Premier Medicare Benefits.
