Village of Schiller Park Committee of the Whole met Nov. 17.

CALL TO ORDER:
President Nick Caiafa called the meeting to order at 6:05 P.M.
II. ROLL CALL:
Upon roll call by Village Clerk Jos, the following Elected Officials were:
Present: President Nick Caiafa, Trustees: Marie Lukowski (Remotely), Russell Klug, Joan Golembiewski, Tom Deegan, Robert Lima, Terri Sheridan, and Village Clerk Rosa Jos
Absent: None
Trustee Sheridan moved, seconded by Trustee Klug to approve Trustee Lukowski to participate remotely due to personal illness.
Upon roll call by Clerk Jos the following voted:
Ayes: Trustees: Klug, Golembiewski, Deegan, Lima, and Sheridan
Absent: None
Nay: None
President Caiafa declared the motion carried.
Clerk Jos declared a quorum present.
Also present: Corporate Counsel Joe Montana, Village Manager Brett Kryska, Assistant Village Manager Brian Bursiek, Mike Cesaretti, Randy Splitt, and Will Jacobson
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
PERSONS WISHING TO BE HEARD:
BUSINESS:
1. There was a discussion regarding the purchase of rock salt for the fiscal year 2022/2023.
2. Mayor Caiafa stated a few Village streets from the street project will not be finished before winter. He also stated the north side of town has a fire hydrant flow issue that he and staff are looking into.
3. Brett Kryska, Village Manager, stated a discussion regarding the Village tax levy will take place at the December 1st Village Board meeting.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Trustee Golembiewski moved, seconded by Trustee Lima to adjourn into Executive Session in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, pursuant to Sec. 2-C-2 Salary Schedules for one or More Classes of Employees and Sec. 2-C-1 F.Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance or Dismissal of Certain Employees and Sec. 2-C- 2 Collective Bargaining Negotiations Matters.
Upon roll call by Clerk Jos the following voted:
Ayes: Trustees: Lukowski, Klug, Golembiewski, Deegan, Lima, and Sheridan
Absent: None
Nay: None
President Caiafa declared the motion carried.
RECONVENE:
At 6:51 P.M. following the Closed Session, the President reconvened the public portion of the Meeting.
Upon roll call by the Village Clerk, the following Elected Officials were:
Present: President Nick Caiafa, Trustees: Marie Lukowski (present by phone), Russell Klug, Joan Golembiewski, Robert Lima, Terri Sheridan, and Village Clerk Rosa Jos
President Caiafa declared a quorum present.

VII. ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business to conduct, it was moved by Trustee Lima, seconded by Trustee Sheridan, that the Committee of the Whole Meeting be adjourned.

Absent: None
Nay: None
President Caiafa declared the motion carried and this Committee of the Whole Meeting was adjourned at 6:52 P.M.
