Dominican Fall On The Road
The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled on the road for their first conference game at Lakeland University to take on the Muskies.
Results:
Lakeland: 82
Dominican: 70
How it Happened:
-DU shot 45% from the field in the first half and 46% in the second half.
-Dominican found themselves down eight at half, with the score 40-32.
-Both schools did not shoot a lot of free throws with the Stars going 7-12, and the Muskies going 7-10 from the free throw line.
-DU made just 3 of 18 shots behind the arc, going 1-12 behind the arc in the second half. This is where Lakeland thrived shooting 35% from behind the three point line.
-Dominican won the points in the paint battle with 48 compared to the Muskies 40.
Shining Stars:
-Junior Andre Bennett lead the team with 16 points and shooting 7-13 from the field.
-Junior Jacob Riedl did the work rebounding the ball collecting team high 7 rebounds.
-Sophomore Daniel Nennig and Bennet were the main contributors with assists. Where they combined for 7 assists, and had 3 and 4 respectively.
