Stars Travel To Lakeland

 The Dominican University women's basketball team traveled to Lakeland University to take on the Muskies in their first road conference game. 

Results:
Lakeland: 51
Dominican: 38

How it Happened:
-Stars had their highest scoring quarter in the first scoring 13 points and shooting 40% from the field. 
-Dominican's offense went away though in the second quarter only scoring 5 points and shooting 13% from the field. 
-DU went into halftime down 26-18. Holding the Muskies to 25% shooting in the first half. 
-The Stars scored 20 points in the second half and won the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to over come the first half deficit. 
-DU made just 3 of 16 shots at the free throw line. Where Lakeland went 14 for 20 from the line. 

Shining Stars:
-Freshman Kameron Goodman recorded a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. 
-Junior Mackenzie Coleman did a little bit of everything having the stat line of 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. 
-Freshman Toni Hayes was a key on the defensive side getting 2 blocks, 1 steal, and grabbing 3 defensive rebounds.

Points: Goodman (16)
Rebounds: Goodman (11)
Assists: Coleman (2)
Steals: Knox (4)
Blocks: Hayes (2)
