CITY OF BERWYN: Illinois Department of Public Health Announces All Regions In Cook County Out Of Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigations

City of Berwyn issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.

All 11 regions have now moved out of Tier 3 mitigations. If metrics continue to improve or are stable, region 10 will be on track to advance to Tier 1 on Saturday, January 23, 2021.  

Information about which tier and phase regions are in can be found at the top of the IDPH website homepage.

Metrics for moving from Tier 2 to tier 1 are as follows:

• Test positivity rate between 6.5% and 8% for three consecutive days (7-day average) 

• Staffed ICU bed availability ≥ 20% for three consecutive days (7-day average) 

• No sustained increase in COVID patients in hospital (7-day average for 7 of 10 days)

Please make sure to familiarize yourself with the Tier 1 metrics guidelines and please remember to continue to show the same precaution in social distancing, facemask use, and in making the right decisions for your family according to the health guidelines set forth by public health experts.
