City of Northlake Youth Commission met Aug. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the commission:

The minutes of the July 8, 2020 meeting were read, A motion was made by John to accept the minutes. Veronica seconded the motion. All were in favor.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Zoom Virtual Event - 9/9/2020 - Partnering with the libary to do a virtual real along in Spanish and English. Set up will be via Facebook live on the Northlake Youth Commission page. Will shout out the Library for partnering up with us. Thinking about some themes.

2. October - No Haunted Trail or Boo fest this year most likely. Thinking about a possible parade, will need to run this idea by the mayor

3. October - Social Distancing craft event. Limit this to 3 to 4 crafts per bag, planning for October 14. Veronica will be ordering the crafts

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Possible Outdoor Bingo - Possibly November following social distancing guidelines. Tabling for the next meeting. Possibiy ask the Veterans Park District to see if we can use the Gym.

There was no other business discussed. Shelia moved for adjournment, seconded by Mauricio. All were in favor. Youth Commission Chairperson, Sheila Morgan, adjourned the meeting at 6:57pm.
