The scene opens with Anthony Clark taking a drag off of a blunt, a plume of smoke alights into the air.
It is unclear why Clark, a candidate for Oak Park Village Trustee and a special education teacher at Oak Park River Forest High School, teacher made the video.
Clark, who is well known at Oak Park Village Board meetings, said he speaks openly with students about his marijuana use.
“In my personal journey as a teacher I think it is extremely hypocritical if I encounter my students and they ask me, ‘Do you smoke?’ I’m extremely honest with my students,” Clark said.
A pair or interviews come make. Regular appearances both on and off the camera as Clark speaks to the them about the different strains of marijuana he has and what he prefers to smoke.
In another video clip for The Young Turks, a left wing podcast, Clark went on a rant about racism in policing.
“(R)acism is ingrained in police forces,” Clark said. “So even you may be an officer and you are not racist, you are working within a racist system. You need to identify that and understand that. So recognizing that we have to have transformative change.”
The Oak Park Village Board has become something of an enclave for biased, liberal activists.
Trustee Arti Walker-Peddakotla has been advocating for Antifa-type protests in her attempts to defund the Oak Park police.
Walker-Peddakotla denied direct involvement in the riot at Oak Park Mayor Anan Abu-Taleb’s home, bout has been active in promoting Antifa and Black Lives Matter talking points on social media. Abu-Taleb’s wife was home at the time of the incident which 100 youths descended on the property, some damaging and vandalizing the home.
Last year Trustee Susan Buchanan ranted about race and told Abu-Taleb, who is of Palestinian heritage, that he was white enough to suffer from white privilege.
According to the Illinois State Board of Education and Teachers Retirement System Clark made $74,335 in the 2015-16 school year at Oak Park River Forest High School.
