Illinois State House District 82 issued the following announcement on July 29.
Families will have the chance to check out the world of reptiles, up close, without leaving their homes, as part of State Rep. Jim Durkin’s (R-Western Springs) and State Sen. John Curran’s (R-Downers Grove) online video program, “Reptiles Go Virtual.”
Coronavirus has greatly limited and reduced the number of family-friendly activities this summer, which is why Rep. Durkin and Senator Curran are bringing the reptiles right to homes. On August 6 and 7, families will be able to see snakes, lizards, frogs and tortoises right from their own computer screens. Kids will get to learn fun facts about all different types of reptiles in the safety and comfort of their own homes.
This is a FREE online event, visit repdurkin.com/reptile or senatorcurran.com on August 6 & 7. For questions, please contact Rep. Durkin’s office at (630) 325-2028 or Sen. Curran’s office at (630) 914-5733.
