Analysis: Broadview pays $10.39 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Broadview Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 91.2 percent of the $2,453,931 the Broadview Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $10.39 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Broadview contributed $2,238,526 to the fund, which saw a $953,308 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $215,405, or 8.8 percent, in 2018.
