Analysis: La Grange pays $7.56 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lagrange Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88.3 percent of the $1,427,250 the Lagrange Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.56 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, La Grange contributed $1,260,405 to the fund, which saw a $116,785 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $166,634, or 11.7 percent, in 2018. Another $211 came from other unspecified sources.
