Analysis: Schiller Park pays $7.20 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Schiller Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.6 percent of the $2,395,264 the Schiller Park Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.20 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Schiller Park contributed $2,099,026 to the fund, which saw a $346,080 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $291,226, or 12.2 percent, in 2018. Another $5,012 came from other unspecified sources.
