Analysis: Berwyn pays $7.53 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Stickney Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.4 percent of the $1,023,087 the Stickney Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.53 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Berwyn contributed $884,337 to the fund, which saw a $288,874 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $117,301, or 11.5 percent, in 2018. Another $21,449 came from other unspecified sources.
