2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60160?

There were 22 offenders released on parole during 2019 that live near Illinois zip code 60160, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Cook News.

The data shows that the 22 released offenders living in Melrose Park zip code were men. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 35. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 64-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Aldo Ortega. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2012, when he was 26 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
