Village of Franklin Park Zoning Board of Appeals met August 7

Village of Franklin Park Zoning Board of Appeals met Aug. 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. The regularly scheduled meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

2. A quorum was present. Bruce Boreson, Frank Grieashamer, Kathy Mennella, Chairman Mark Cwik, Wayne Bernacki, Lisa Manzo (Secretary), Nick Walny (Village Planner) and Ryan Adriatico (Village Planner). Absent: Jenny Corral and Jeanette Torres.

3. Member Grieashamer made a motion to accept the minutes of July 10, 2019. The motion was seconded by Member Mennella and approved to place them on file as presented.

4. Old Business: None.

5. New Business: ZBA 19-10

Chairman Cwik stated that this hearing for a Conditional Use for a “daycare center” in the C-2-1 Community Shopping District per Village Code Section 9-5B-3 for the property commonly known as 10117 Grand Avenue in Franklin Park, Illinois is being recommended by staff to be continued to the next hearing of September 4, 2019.

Member Grieashamer made a motion to “continue the Conditional Use for 10117 Grand Avenue for a “daycare center” in the C-2-1 Community Shopping District per Village Code Section 9-5B-3 to the next regularly scheduled hearing of Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Community Room. Member Mennella seconded the motion. The motion was carried.

6. Staff Update: None.

7. Public Comment: None.

8. A motion was made by Member Grieashamer to adjourn the meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals. It was seconded by Member Mennella. All in favor. carried.

The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
