City of Berwyn issued the following announcement on June 4.
You are invited to celebrate our nation’s independence with a fireworks display on Wednesday, July 3rd at 8:30 pm at Morton West High School’s stadium located at 2400 Home Avenue. This FREE event is brought to you by the generous sponsorship of the World’s Largest Laundromat, North Berwyn Park District, Berwyn Park District, Morton High School District, Berwyn Police Local 1, Berwyn Fire Local 506 and the City of Berwyn. Local scouts and little leaguers are also invited to join our area veterans in the opening ceremony. They will be gathering at the north field goal of the stadium.
Children’s activities will be provided by the Berwyn Recreation Department and Library between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
Please do not bring coolers or carry in food or beverage inside the stadium. Pets are not allowed within the stadium. Refreshments will be on sale by the Morton Booster Club and Berwyn Police Explorers.
