GOTTLIEB MEMORIAL HOSPITAL:Gottlieb Memorial Hospital Receives an 'A' Safety Grade for the Fourth Time in a Row

Gottlieb Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on May 22.

For the fourth time in a row, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital has received an 'A' for patient safety from the Leapfrog Group.

The Spring 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Grade recognizes Gottlieb's efforts to protect patients from harm and provide safer health care.

The Leapfrog Group is a national nonprofit organization committed to improving healthcare quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. Leapfrog assigns an 'A' through 'F' grade to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections and other harms to patients.

"We are gratified that this highly respected organization has recognized our continuing commitment to patient safety," said Lori Price, president of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. "Patient safety is a centerpiece of our patient-centered compassionate care."

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice a year.

Founded in 2000 by large employers and other purchasers, The Leapfrog Group is a national nonprofit organization driving a movement for giant leaps forward in the quality and safety of American healthcare.
