Berkeley home prices rise in September 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in Berkeley rose by $29,750 while total sales decreased by 30%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $180,000 - a 19.8% increase over the $150,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 10 homes sold in Berkeley in September 2016.

The median sales tax in Berkeley for 2017 was $4,582. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,964. This marks an increase of 15.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
