La Grange Park home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in La Grange Park fell by $27,500 while total sales decreased by 6.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 57 homes sold, with a median sale price of $315,000 - a 8% decrease over the $342,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 61 homes sold in La Grange Park in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in La Grange Park for 2017 was $7,513.41. In 2016, the median sales tax was $6,905.70. This marks an increase of 8.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
