La Grange Highlands home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in La Grange Highlands rose by $11,500 while total sales decreased by 5.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $334,000 - a 3.6% increase over the $322,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in La Grange Highlands in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in La Grange Highlands for 2017 was $5,759.80. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,151.30. This marks an increase of 11.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
