Gottlieb Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on March 30.
At this free event, Ahmer Farooq, DO, and Kevin McVary, MD, will discuss prostate gland enlargement, or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Symptoms of BPH include:
The need to urinate often, especially at night
Trouble starting to urinate
Weak urine flow
Leaking of urine
Drs. Farooq and McVary will review the causes and risk factors for enlarged prostates, prevention techniques and treatments, including watchful waiting, medical therapies and minimally invasive surgeries
The seminar will be held at Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge, 6800 N. Frontage Road, Burr Ridge, IL 60527.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their spouse, partner or friend.
