Analysis: River Grove pays $5.84 for every $1 pensioners contribute to River Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.4 percent of the $1,306,297 the River Grove Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.84 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, River Grove contributed $1,115,353 to the fund, which saw a $431,054 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $190,944, or 14.6 percent, in 2016.
