Analysis: River Forest pays $4.37 for every $1 pensioners contribute to River Forest Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.1 percent of the $1,376,369 the River Forest Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.37 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, River Forest contributed $1,130,516 to the fund, which saw a $32,225 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $258,151, or 18.8 percent, in 2016.
