Analysis: North Riverside pays $4.94 for every $1 pensioners contribute to North Riverside Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.2 percent of the $1,432,983 the North Riverside Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.94 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, North Riverside contributed $1,192,086 to the fund, which saw a $102,388 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $240,847, or 16.8 percent, in 2016. Another $50 came from other unspecified sources.
